Wow...it has been awhile. Not much has changed since the last post....which is pretty sad since it has been a couple of months. I know I still need to posts some pics but let us talk about my lack of motivation lately. Its bad.
Anyway, since I blogged last we went to Tablerock lake with my fam and had a lot of fun. We fished (a little) but mostly boated and swam in the lake. Brody did ok in the lake. At one point he was VERY sleepy and almost fell asleep in my arms in the lake with of course his thumb in his mouth. Good times. That is going to be a fun one to break.
Speaking of breaking him.......we did the tough love and let him cry it out for really only a couple of nights and he is golden......sleeping in his own bed......sleeping through the night. We have our lives back. And I can tell you one thing: I am sleeping a LOT better. It was definitely worth it and really wasn't that hard and guess what???? he doesn't hate us.....LOL Imagine that. He actually loves going night night now. So problem solved (for now).
The selling the house is non-existent right now. We are not sure what to do......thinking about just taking it off the market. Because now the air conditioner is broken. So that is cool. What a fun journey.
Brodster is not walking still. He is almost 16 months and will walk around furniture and sometimes get brave and let go and start walking......but he doesn't go far. Hopefully it wont be too much longer. The little stinker.
Although he is not walking he is really talking a lot it seems. He is really funny and pretty much will repeat whatever you say. Today he said Bible after I did when we were looking at his books. He also says "poop" when he toots or actually poops. That is pretty dang funny. He loves his book Brown Bear. We have a ton of fun with him cause he is so dang cute and funny.

Today was so fun we went to Target (that was ok), then we took the kiddos to Mickey D's and then off to the springs water park. It was so fun! I had never been there before but I had a blast and Brody man was so good. We finally left at about 3:30 and he was going on no nap and still acted like the angel he is. He did get REALLY lazy (sleepy) in the Lazy River. Let me just say, the green water slide.....NOT a good idea!! I literally thought I was going to miss the pool at the end of the slide because I was going soooooo fast. I have never had that happen before. Let me tell you one thing, about half way down I figured it would be a good idea to cross my ankles if ya know what I mean. I was scared to say the least.
Jen and her kiddos went with us since we are trying to do some fun things b4 she goes to work next Tues. I am totally stoked about her working at my work. It is going to be fun. It will just give us another thing in common that we can talk about (like we needed more??)
Anyway, the little man made it home awake and didn't even let out a peep when I laid him in his bed. I just hope he doesnt sleep all night. Well he can sleep all night tonight (that'd be a nice change) but I am thinking he should wake up for dinner.
That brings up another issue. I from day 1 have been a big fan of making kids sleep in their own beds. I didn't want to have to train them to later in life when they had more of their own opinion. From when we brought him home he has been such a good sleeper and has always slept through the night and in his own bed. Well right before his party we were doing some late night house work for about a week and he got in the habit of waking up in the middle of the night. Now it is every night!!! And back then I was bad and brought him into our bed but in my defense after him waking up 2-3 times a night I dont think I was in my right mind. I just wanted to sleep. So we are working on letting him "cry it out" let me tell you how fun that is. After he cries for about 10-15min I break down and go get him. Last night this happened and after he fell asleep we took him to his bed and he did stay asleep until 9ish. So that is pretty cool. Anyway that is the saga.
The house has had no interest. This market just kinda stinks!!! We did lower the price because we felt we could sell for less and get a 30yr fixed on house that we are going to live in for a while and hopefully pay off. Hopefully we will have some lookers and some serious ones at that. We will c.
Welp, I think that is it for now. I am reading a good book called See Jane Run and while Brod is sleeping I might try to get in a few chapters. If your looking for a good book try that one. It gets you from the beginning.

Monday....
Wow today we went to The Legends on a search for a swimsuit and some fun Summer clothes. For me not Brody (he just had a birthday & has a ton of clothes for this season). I did find a fun brown swimsuit but sooooo many of them were so skimpy. Skimpy+Mom=Yummy is all I can say. I am too flabby for anything skimpy, let me just say. Anyway, we ate at my fave......Chipotle. I did also get a rocking cool pair of sunglasses for $6. That is what I am talking about.
I sooooo wish I was preggo with a girl right now (not really) because they had really cute clothes for baby girls at all the stores. They were adorable. Brody is 1) too big and 2) NOT A GIRL. So not baby clothes were purchased today.
I put the for sale sign in the yard and am hoping for some calls. I still have to finish the brochure for the yard sign but that should not be that hard.
This weekend was a lot of fun in the sun. Brody plays so well at the lake. This was the first time we tried the little pool in the boat and he had a lot of fun splashing. The fishing stunk but oh well.
Just now Brody gave me the scare of my life....... he was "taking a nap." Not really, he acted tired so I laid him down and he was in there talking and playing. Well.....all the sudden I hear a big thump. I was for sure I was going to find him on the floor. I thought he had fallen out of the bed. He stands in his bed but when I went in there he must have just hit the side of his bed with his big 'ol head or something because he thankfully wasnt on the floor.
Well I must work on the flyer for the house. I will post some pics of the trip today and the weekend hopefully tonight. :)

Our first post
This is my first post on our new blog and I am pretty excited about it. I think it is going to be fun to post pics & blog about our oh so exciting life!!!
Brody is getting big and doing really fun things so I think it will be fun to share.
We have decided to try to sell our house so this is going to be a fun journey. :) We have never sold a house before and especially not by owner. So we will see how this goes. The good thing is we don't HAVE to sell. We have a little while before we would need to move so if it doesn't sell we will just try again later. We just did a lot of painting, staining and cleaning so we thought now was a good time to give it a try. We love our house but later down the road we may need a bigger one to accommodate a growing fam. NO we are not currently preggo and aren't planning on getting that way too soon. Anyway so please pray that our house will sell if it is God's will. We ultimately want his will in our lives and not our own.
Brody is 13mo now and we are having so much fun with him. He is such a little freak!!! He is crawling but not walking on his own yet. It shouldn't be long though. He is a very good and happy little guy. He has truly been such an enjoyment in our lives. I always say if we would have known how fun it is we would've had one a long time ago. ;)
It is storming tonight and I am excited because JR was supposed to have SB games tonight. It will just be nice for him to be home tonight since he doesn't get home from work till 7:30 pm.
BTW, I think we got engaged 6 years ago today. Funny how all the dates run together but I am pretty sure it was June 24th. Who knows right? That seems like so long ago in some respect and just like yesterday in others.
Well I think that is all for now. I will for sure post again. I am going to work on getting some photos posted. I just took some great ones of the little man yesterday. So check back!!!
